Organic milk has higher levels of healthy fats, including omega-3 and polyunsaturated fats. Organic milk has higher concentrations of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA is a type of fat found in dairy and beef that may be associated with supporting a healthy immune system and reducing the risk of heart disease, cancer, obesity, and osteoporosis. The higher amount of healthy fats present is, in part, due to the feed provided by the farmers.
We offer more fresh forage to the cattle and allow them to graze. Feeding our cows with fresh forage is the reason for organic milk having a more favorable fatty acid composition than conventional milk.
